More Benjamin funnies...

I couldn't let this pass by without mentioning it...Benjamin loves to build things with Legos and K'nex, so you never know what he will come up with next. Lately, Sean and I have been finding little Lego creations by our beds at night. Sean got a building and I got a ballet dancer. Tonight, Benjamin made squares for everyone, including himself, out of K'nex. After making them, he carefully distributed each one to the desired night stand or head board.

Since Benjamin's fish died a month ago, we've been talking about getting another one for him. He has declared that his next fish will be named....drum roll, please....Street! We're not sure where he got that from, but he is very insistent and consistent with the name. Emma, who is a firm believer in using names that look like the animal, thinks Street is a silly name because when would you see a black fish with yellow lines running down the middle of it?

At camp, Benjamin was asked to try mustard and ketchup with a chicken nugget. Ketchup is OK with him, but mustard is not. When Sean asked him what he thought about the mustard, he said, "It's disgusting. I don't like it." Gotta love the vocabulary in his three year old brain.

Finally, I thought I would include a video of the kids on the Slip'n Slide they got from Grandma Mindy. I think it's great because it shows each kid's style as they use the slide. Alex goes all out. Emma is just silly. Benjamin couldn't slide more than a few inches at a time, so he would scootch down the whole thing on his belly. Needless to say, Alex had a sore abdomen the next day, but couldn't be convinced that it was from slamming himself to the ground on the slide. Thanks for the fun, Grandma!

Wow, a lego ballerina that sounds very advanced! That's so cute he is leaving his family little treasures by their beds. I'm sure the kids will wear out the Slip N Slide this summer. Such fun! Love, Dude

Summer does seem busy these days. The picture of Emma with no hair cracks me up! Love all the swimming photos and video. Thanks for all the nice updates.

That's so sweet that he's making gifts and leaving them for people. What a cutie!
