Today is the first day of school for Alex and Emma. I can't believe they are in 5th and 3rd grade. Alex will be the big man on campus this year while Emma will be considered part of the "upper grades". Wild!
Hopefully, they will have a good day today. Alex was VERY upset to find out that both of his best friends are in another class. He has been in the same room with them since first grade. Emma's best friend is also in a different room. I guess they'll have to branch out this year and make some new friends.

I tried to comment on your facebook, but it gave me an error - so I'll comment here. First of all - I love that Alex has his arm on Emma's shoulder, and I hope that lasts forever. Second of all, who told them they could grow up? They're certainly good-lookin' kids.
I was also quite surprised to see that Alex had his arm around Emma, awe he does like her afterall. I can't believe they are in 3rd &
5th grade either, WOW! I'm sure it won't take them long to make a few new friends! Love, Dude
