I just realized that I never posted anything about Emma turning 8. Ooops...
Her birthday was last month and it was awesome. She had a great time opening presents, visiting with friends and eating cake. She is a spectacular girl who makes us smile daily. Her attitude towards her birthday reminds me of my sister who thinks her birthday should be a national holiday. Emma gave us many reminders of when her birthday was, what she wanted to do, etc. On the day of her birthday, she could hardly wait to open presents. Hurry, hurry, finish your dinner! During the day, I let Emma choose what she wanted to do. She asked to visit the Capitol, so we took a little field trip. We also had lunch on campus with Sean. Sean loves having Cheetos ground into his carpet! For her party, we went to a jumpy place. The kids wore themselves out! They jumped for 2 1/2 hours straight taking only brief breaks for nourishment.

Hey, what's wrong with truly enjoying your birthday to the fullest? I'm glad Emma is taking after me in that regard! Love, Dude
