First Day of School

Alex and Emma started school last Thursday. We are very excited for them to go to this new school. The school district put much effort into starting it up and all of the teachers were chosen from a large pool of applicants. Hopefully, that means the teachers will be top notch. In fact, Alex came home on the first day and said his teacher won the 2007 California Teacher of the Year. Yeah for Alex! Emma's teacher seems to be a good one, too.The kids have been making new friends and adjusting to life in a California school. Out here, they eat lunch outside. The bonus is that the lunch period is extra long so they get additional recess time as well. We've had to learn some new vocabulary for the school as well. The playground is not the playground, it's the yard. Also, they have a room called the MPR. We finally figured out the means the Multi-Purpose Room.

Benjamin started preschool on Monday. He will go 3 mornings a week. He marched right in on Monday and started playing with the cars. No tears or fussing for him!

Hello Julie, great to hear that you all are doing well! Alex just started at his new preschool this Tuesday and loves it there. Looking forward to having him at Parmer Ln next year. We miss seeing all of you! You missed a huge rainstorm this week. Our new neighbors have moved in (I think) but haven't met them yet. Have a great fall!
