Benjamin has had a really good week with his new kidney, Steve. He is
eating like crazy probably due to the high dosages of some of his new
medicines. Every time we turn around, he is eating...right now, he's
having hash browns that he figured out how to cook in the microwave.
What he really wants is hash browns cooked on the grill by his grandpa.
He enjoyed his first week with new teacher. As soon as she left on the
first day, he said she is very nice. Grandma Buckley (who taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 33 years) says she is very impressed with his teacher and she doesn't impress easily.
I'm still getting used to his new medication routine. It is so much
easier that I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something. Benjamin is on
top of it too. Last week, the doctor made a couple changes to his meds.
He noticed every change...pills removed and pills added.
Sean is doing well, too. He still has some pain, but is definitely making progress with his healing. He gets out for multiple walks a day and says he feels best when he is active. The doctor says everything looks like it is healing normally and he should be back to full activity soon.
Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes, prayers, gifts and cards. They bring much joy to all of us!
