So the missing puzzle piece yesterday seemed to be an emerging case of pancreatitis. The various doctors (you wouldn't believe how many doctors are on his case) are still not in agreement, but we're pretty convinced that's what it was. The good thing is that all his pancreatic enzymes levels are back to normal this morning. He is happy, perky, and laughing while he watches his movie. They have advanced his diet back to normal after being NPO (no food or water) yesterday. We're going to head to the playroom shortly so he can hopefully play Mario Kart again. All in all, the doctors think he looks great and is making pee like a champ. It's possible he may go home as early as tomorrow. That is amazing to me.
