Tomorrow the kids are off to school. Yippee! Benjamin will be sad, though, because he won't have anyone to play with him. This afternoon we went to Meet the Teacher. We thought Alex was not going to be placed in the class with his best friend as his friend had received a postcard from the teacher and Alex had not. Lo and behold, he is in the same class. I'm excited because the teacher is supposed to be very good. She is strict, but does great projects with them. Emma has a new teacher who just moved from San Antonio. She seems very nice. The other news is that Emma finally seems excited about school. She has not shown very much excitement over the last couple weeks, but today she was skipping down the hall at school saying that she couldn't wait.
Last week, Benjamin had his first haircut. All his curls are gone which is a little sad, but he looks very handsome. I love the trim along his neckline. It looks so cute. He did very well sitting in the chair and wouldn't have cried at all except he had hit himself in the head with a toy just before they called his name. We did a little more swimming this week, took Alex to the doctor for a sinus infection, and fed the ducks at the duck pond. Here is a picture that Alex took of the baby ducks. I couldn't believe how close the mama duck would let the kids get to the babies.

Awe, no more curls...I liked Benjamin's curls but his haircut does look nice. I like the duck pictures too, very cute. I guess the Mama Duck thought you were okay and that you might have some food for her and her babies. Love, Dude
Julie - thanks for the update...busy week! I hate/love that first haircut...it means they're really growing up, but it always looks so cute! I thought Monday was your first day and I've been dying for an update...it was Tuesday, no wonder. I love the first day of school photo - they are growing so fast! Can you believe our baby boys are in the 3rd grade? I can't.
I love the haircut! So cute! Doesn't it just make them look like little men? Good luck with the first week of school! I love the first day of school picture! They are growing up.
