Benjamin has become a knee walker just like his cousin, George, was earlier this summer. It is so funny to watch him get around the room like that, but he has figured out it is easier to carry things. Every once in a while, he actually gets up on his feet and takes a few steps. He does well when he isn't really thinking about it. He sees something and takes off after it.
He also has been busy learning some signs including me, help and water. The water sign has come in very handy. He learned it last Tuesday. Then on Thursday, we were at a doctor appointment and I was about to leave his sippy cup on the desk. He fussed once and then made the water sign to remind me not to leave his cup. Awesome!!
On Saturday, we went to the pumpkin patch (a.k.a the Christmas tree farm) and had fun doing various fall activities. We went through a hay bale maze and a corn maze. Emma was very concerned we were going to get lost in the corn maze since we couldn't see over the top. The kids also took a short horse ride. Emma thought she was going to ride a little pony, but they brought out a horse named Barbie for her to ride. We also took a hay rack ride, picked out pumpkins, had a picnic lunch and did rubber duck races. The weather was cooperative, not too hot with a nice breeze.
Today is the first day the kids have had to wear long pants and long sleeves since last spring. The forecast high is 59 degrees and it was raining this morning. After the kids got dressed, they asked if they could go outside "to test their clothes". They came back in saying they were "freezing"!! Of course, that probably does "feel freezing" to them considering we were 92 degrees yesterday. The rest of the week is supposed to be gorgeous with highs in the mid 70s. Ahhh, I've been waiting rather impatiently for this weather. It is one of my favorite times of year.

Woohoo, sounds like you guys had a good time. Yay, Emma finally got to ride a horse! I bet she will be talking about that for awhile! That is awesome about Benjamin communicating with you, how sweet! That's funny that Benajamin is now taking after cousin George...walking on his knees! Cute pictures! Love, Aunt Dude!
