Here are the highlights from our Halloween festivities...
We went over to Alex's best friend's house to join the group for pizza and trick-or-treating. They decided to split the groups into boys and girls since there were so many of them. Ultimately, Alex thinks he got the raw end of the deal since the girls got quite a bit more candy than the boys.
Benjamin figured it out pretty quickly. He was a little hesitant at the first few houses, but started running up pretty soon after we started. Every time he finished at a house, he HAD to return to the stroller. He wanted nothing to do with running between the houses. One of the other moms said he was conserving energy. He got lots of comments on his doctor costume...i.e. Is there a doctor in the house? Look it's Doogie Howser! His favorite house was the one where he received a bag of Cheetos. After that, we heard him in his stroller chanting, "Cheetos. Cheetos. Me got Cheetos." He made it through about 2/3 of the trek before he decided to remain in the stroller. I asked him if he was done and, at first, he said "Not done", but then he didn't get out of the stroller again. About 5 houses from the end, he fell asleep in the stroller and didn't wake up for the rest of the night. When we got back to our friends' house, the kids did a big candy swap. Alex was wrangling for all the Kit-Kats he could lay his hands on. Another boy was trading for Almond Joys (he would certainly get them all from me! Yuck!). I don't think Emma had a preference. She just likes candy.
We had a good laugh at Alex's candy pile. Check it out...(remember he comes by it naturally with an engineering dad and a CPA mom)...
One last highlight...I bought whoopee cushions (the eye ball thing in the candy picture) for the kids to play with after trick-or-treating. They had a gas with them (hee hee). Lots of bathroom humor. It doesn't get much better than that!

FUN FUN FUN!!!
Cute Halloween costumes and jack-o-laterns..... Sounds like Benjamin really enjoyed the night and then took a well earned rest.... Had to laugh about sorting candy --- both Jennifer and Adam also sort theirs into groups; guess that accountant organization is strong. Take care.
What a cute bunch! It looks like they didn't get TOO much candy so that's good. Where are the snickers and the Take 5's? Those are my favorites. Benjamin's Cheetos Chant is pretty funny. He was indeed a very handsome Doctor! Love, Aunt Dude
Oh yeah you can never get sick of Bathroom humor it's always funny to me no matter how old I get!
Glad everyone had a fun night, they looked great! Benjamin makes quite a handsome doctor, I think he has a future there. I remember we used to all sort our candy and count how much we had of certain things because sometimes they would go missing, i.e., Mom or Dad sneaking our Reeses peanut butter cups or Snickers. :)
That's hilarious! I love Alex's candy pile. The kids' costumes are all so cute! Looks like fun!
