While Sean's mom was visiting, we decided to hit one of the major highlights in southern California...Disneyland. What a wonderful experience!
We took the kids out of school for a day so we could avoid some of the long lines. It worked as most of the lines were 15 minutes or less. Some of the rides with long lines had FastPasses where you could get an assigned time to come back and ride without standing in line. I think our longest wait of the day was waiting for the parking garage to open.
Benjamin's favorite rides were the Buzz Lightyear AstroBlaster and the Thunder Mountain Railroad. He was a little roller coaster rider and even put his hands up briefly.
Emma rode Space Mountain and was thrilled with her first roller coaster ride. She was so excited that she had to do it a second time. I don't think Alex liked sitting next to me because I screamed the entire time.
Alex had to decide if he was going with us or not as his 6th grade class was going on a field trip that day. While we were at the park, he said he was very happy he decided to go with us and he couldn't believe he even considered going on the field trip. I'm glad he joined us and didn't feel cheated out of his field trip.Sean enjoyed how the fireworks display surrounded us at the end of the day. The show was choreographed to music from different rides. At one point, the fireworks were shooting over us like cannons from the pirate ships.
