Summer is winding down
We had a pretty quiet week last week as the end of summer is near. The kids return to school next Tuesday, August 28th. We have been squeezing in a few more play dates with friends including a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's. The kids played lots of games and I even got to play skeeball. I didn't do that well, but I figured I was at a disadvantage since I had Benjamin on my hip. Benjamin was pretty fascinated with all the lights and sounds and insisted on holding an extra ball from skee ball. We've also been to the pool a few times. The kids are really going to miss the freedom to play starting next week.
Alex starts piano lessons tonight. He will be taking them from his music teacher from school. She lives around the corner from us, so he will be able to walk to lessons. Can't get much more convenient than that. Emma starts gymnastics this week also. She decided that she prefers gymnastics to dance. I never was a big fan of dance either. I guess I'm not coordinated enough.
Classes start at UT next week as well. Sean will be teaching two classes this fall, an undergrad lab class about GPS and a graduate level class. Both classes will be relatively small so that will make it a little easier to keep up with grading, etc. Class size doesn't change the amount of prep time for lectures, though.
Not much else to report which I figure is a good thing since we will be busy soon enough...

I'm glad Kenneth isn't going back to school yet - I'm not ready! Our summer has been so busy we haven't had much "at home" time yet. That begins this week! Sounds like everything is exciting at your house! We miss you!
Good luck with everyone starting back to classes next week. I have a feeling mommy is looking forward to the quieter house. :)
