He's Home Again!

Yeah, Benjamin is home from the second round at the hospital. He got discharged in record time. Dr. Cortez came by around 6:15 and we left the hospital at 7 p.m. He is very happy to be home and slept well in his own bed last night. Today, he has been reexploring the house including climbing on the step stool to see what he can get into on the counters.

He has a follow up appointment scheduled with Dr. Cortez for next Friday. At that appointment, one of the two catheters may be removed although he may have to wait a few more days after that. The next step will be to see how Benjamin does voiding on his own. That is the big unknown right now. We have no idea what his bladder will do. Depending on how things go (literally), Benjamin will likely need to have additional tests done over the course of the next month or two.

For now, we're just taking it one step at a time, so today is recovery in peace at home!
