Benjamin and I made a little trek to the ER yesterday. All is well, but we just wanted to make sure. He started throwing up on Thursday night, then again on Friday and Saturday nights. Several times on Sunday, he indicated that his privates hurt so we called Dr. Cortez to get his thoughts. The doctor recommended that we take him in to have a sample taken so they could rule out a urinary tract infection. Dr. Cortez did what he could to "grease the skids" so we could move through faster, but we were still there for 4 1/2 hours. Thanks, Grandma Mindy, for bringing me a sandwich! Today, Benjamin seems fairly perky and is happily playing ball right now.
Alex had his last "regular season" baseball game this weekend. It was a real nail biter. Going into the last inning, the teams were tied 4-4. The other team scored 2 in the top of inning. With the pressure on, Alex's team scored three in the bottom of the inning. Alex had a really nice hit and scored a run. His team got second place out of seven teams. One team was undefeated and that is the only team that beat Alex's team.
Emma and Daddy had a little date last week. Sean tried to take Emma to Baskin Robbins for 31 cent scoops of ice cream, but the line was out the door and around the corner. He opted to try Cold Stone Creamery instead. I'm sure Emma was quite pleased as this meant she could get her favorite cotton candy ice cream (yuck!!!).
This week, Alex starts swimming, plus he has a field trip and field day at school. It's a busy, fun week. You would think he was getting out of school in a couple weeks, but they still have a month to go. We're still trying to get used to the new school calendar. They used to start in mid August and get out before Memorial Day. This year, they started the last week of August and don't get out until June 4th.
We hope everyone has a wonderful week. Thanks for checking on the Buckley family!

Ooo, that's scary about Benjamin. I'm glad to hear he's feeling better. Alex's baseball game sounds exciting! Take care and have a good week!
Sorry to hear about Benjamin not feeling well last week and having to go to ER ----- there is never a short wait there. Glad he is feeling better today. Hang in there and I am sure we will cross paths at the ballpark. My thoughts exactly about cotton candy ice cream.
I'm glad you took Benjamin in - that's awfully scary stuff. I hope all is well - was there a UTI??? Well, good luck with the next month of activities! Kenneth doesn't get out of school until June 19th!
