Our favorite fourth grader

Emma has been excelling and enjoying her fourth grade year. We were very pleased with her latest report card. Math seems to be her favorite class which makes her engineer dad and CPA mom very happy. We were also excited to hear that her teacher was chosen to be honored as one of the best teachers in the school district.

Some of Emma's latest adventures...
She is taking a cake decorating class after school. They are learning about fondant and sugar art among other topics. This week, she made a fondant flower. Maybe we have the next Ace of Cakes living in our house. She has been missing her fish from Texas, so she decided to use some of her Christmas money to buy a new one. Her newest betta is named Waves and he does tricks. If you hover your finger over his water, he will jump out of the water and give it a kiss. She is also busy with swimming and soccer. Her soccer team played and won its first game last weekend. She was thrilled as her teams haven't been overly successful in the past.

Last, but not least, she is jumping into duct tape fashions. Some of her friends made wallets and purses out of duct tape. She was fascinated so we went to Michael's for some duct tape. They had every color of the rainbow plus zebra, cheetah and tie dye patterns. Who knew??? She was happily making a duct tape purse this morning. If anyone is interested, let us know and I'm sure she would make something for you. :)

Wow, a cake decorating class sounds fun. I can't wait to see more of your creations that you can practice at home.

Your new fish is very pretty! Sounds like you picked out a silly one too.
